Ok, so it's been said that music and thinking have a direct correlation. Dr. Shaw (specializing in music education) says that music can enhance our ability to reason and think. MY only concern is the thinking part lol. I seem to think for the average person and their whole household, A LOT! What is it about this thinking thing? I mean sure it's good to reason and rationalize things, but what is the limit?!? My brain can't seem to comprehend these things (I'm probably thinking about that too). I guess certainty also plays a role in things and also considering the fact that I'm in college and still trying to "figure" out for certain if I am going about the right way concerning my career. Don't you hate it when you think you've got it all figured out, then one day an obscure thought comes up and you start to second guess or "think" for that matter, some may say paying more heed to the idea. Then you start to rationalize this, and hey! maybe this isn't a bad idea after all, or have I been going about things the wrong way all along?! THEN you come back down to earth and start to see the reasons behind what you were doing all along and they start making sense again. Well, either way you are back to square one and nothing has really been accomplished besides a big headache lol.
Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go in. Napoleon Bonaparte
Yes, there is some sanity to all of this! Thank God!(literally) The important thing is that you are in God's will and not yours. Even though you feel your will may be God's, there is a certain way to go about it. Don't compromise the progress you have already made, but keep at it headstrong as if nothing had ever happened. Keep in mind that life is a growing process and full of decisions, decisions that require change and can affect you for the rest of your life, so make sure that you are not going at it ALONE. There is a silver lining to all the madness :)
